The Million Mile Month (MMM) is a one month challenge encouraging Texans to come together as one large virtual community with a goal of walking, running or riding one million miles in April 2015. This action as a community becomes a powerful example and support system for our children, and shows them that being outside and active is key to a healthy life.
the Ghisallo Cycling Initiative is proud to be included in this important campaign to raise awareness for healthy lifestyles.
We will be providing Bike Maintenance Checks and Basic Helmet & Safety Clinics.
The Healthy Connections Team is hosting several community events throughout the Library system. You are invited to attend these events as well to support the efforts to walk, run, or bike a million miles in the month of April. They will be giving out water bottles (30) and jump ropes (18) at each event, first come – first served. See attached flyer for details.
The Community events will be at the following libraries:
· April 7th at Twin Oaks 3:30pm – 5:30pm
· April 9th at Windsor Park 3:30 – 5:30pm
· April 18th at Spicewood Springs 12:30pm – 2:30pm
