Bike-to-Eat Week 2013

Yes, it is the 2nd annual Bike-to-Eat Week event! This year, not only did we keep the ball rolling, the City of Austin City Council officially proclaimed May 1st through May 5th Bike-to-Eat Week. I guess that means we are doing something right.

As always, this event was a pure incentive program between businesses an cyclists and the full discount was made available to cyclists with out the Ghisallo Cycling Initiative taking a cut of the event. The entire goal of the event is to continue to connect businesses with riders for both parties’ mutual benefit. Bicycle parking generates more revenue per sqft of space than car parking and studies have show that cyclists, on average, spend more. Hopefully we are driving this cycle between businesses supporting cyclists, and the cyclists supporting those businesses in return. Bikes Mean Business!
