March 8th feels like decades ago but that doesn’t mean we’ve forgotten how much fun we had at the Gullett Bike Ride and Pizza Party!
Almost 60 people on bikes showed up, what a crew!
We invited Gullett families, neighbors and friends to ride with us from Gullett Elementary School to Sheffield Park for a pizza party. So many folks showed up that our ride became a bike parade along the new All Ages and Abilities, protected bikeway on Shoal Creek Boulevard. We were able to stay in the protected bikeway or calm, neighborhood streets the whole way there and back.
We expect to see these riders taking over the city’s protected bikeways – for weekend adventures or biking to school! They sure are ready.
Once schools are back in sessions, we are hoping to organize more bike parades and pizza parties!
