Recently we completed our first programming outside of the Austin area. We loaded up and headed to Keiko Davidson Elementary School in Katy, TX, just outside of Houston. We were invited by the PTA to perform a Bike Rodeo as part of a community safety event.
We setup 4 Bike Rodeo courses in the school parking lot. The courses were laid out for the kids in groups of 20 to roll through and work on their skills.
We had kids on everything from scooters, balance bikes, mountain and BMX bikes. With the help of parents and some of the kids as volunteers, we had the courses running simultaneously. Our instructors stepped up and made sure all the kids were learning the skills to help them be safe, confident and to have fun riding with their friends.
It was such a fun and rewarding day for the parents, students and the Ghisallo crew.
