Reilly Elementary School’s’ beginner Bike Club class took their second trip off campus to the Austin Bike Farm using the neighborhood streets. They practiced using the three basic hand signals and became more capable of riding in a straight line as a group. At the Austin Bike Farm they played games on the wooden bike ramps in the back. We really enjoy using our creativity to invent games there.
Eight students earned their inflate tires badge & one, who couldn’t make the Advanced Monday class, earned a level 2 badge. In addition to riding in a single pace line, students worked on riding in a double pace line when crossing busy streets. Geranimo, the Level 1 Cyclist, helped teach the class basic skills which begins his earning of the 6 hours community service badge.
